A lot has changed and evolved since The Claxton Bank opened for business in 1941. However, through it all, the way we do business has remained the same. We remain committed to helping our clients manage their current and future needs. Indeed, the more things change, the more they stay the same.
Building on a Strong Foundation, and Continuing the Legacy
In 2023, a new chapter began for The Claxton Bank as a group of private investors, led by individuals from Jacksonville, Florida, acquired a controlling ownership interest. Rather than changing the bank’s identity, this transition was about amplifying what has always made TCB special: relationship-deep service, community ties, and commitment. In 2024, the bank opened a full-service branch. With fresh capital and renewed momentum, The Claxton Bank is bringing its signature blend of modern tools and personal service to new markets across the Southeast. As we look ahead, our focus remains clear: to grow without forgetting where we came from, and to serve every client with the same care and dedication that’s defined us since 1941.
